  How to survive in the bush

Read the instructions to find out how to survive in the bush safely.

1. Plan your trip.
2. Tell someone.
3. Be aware of the weather.
4. Know your limits.
5. Bring sufficient supplies.

My 2 more rules:

Ask yourself if you have everything you need.

Think about your team.

What you need

Clothing: Rain jacket ( Have to be waterproof with hood), hat, gloves, (fitting)boots, Spare laces (strong), Socks (plus more).

Thermals: shirt, long pants, footwear, jacket (jersey), shorts, proper sunhat, spare underwear.

Food: lightweight food, water bottle, snacks, energy food.

Equipment: tent (waterproof), frying pan (optional), stove, something to clean your stove.

Most importantly you NEED a first aid kit.

Planning your trip

• You need to find the place you want to go to.
• let the owner know if and when you going there.

Tell someone

• Contact friends or family that you're going.
• Tell as many people as you can what your car number plate is.
• Tell them when you should be back just in case of an emergency.

Be aware of the weather

• Check the weather forecast.
• If the weather is not good for your location, bad luck go another time.

Know your limits

• Notify the owner of where you are going.
• If you don’t have permission to be on someone’s land, just avoid it.

Bring sufficient supplies

• Don’t bring food that don’t last or stuff that will slow you down or take up space.
• Take stuff that you are sure you need, or communication that will last the trip.

Now ask yourself, have you got everything you NEED?

Angry Verb

This is my Angry bird. Me and my buddy in room 5 did one.
I just had to put a lightsaber in my bird. If you know me I love Star Wars. I had a lot of fun doing this :)

Room 17 gave us a good formula.
That formula is: 9 faces + 9 corners - 2 = 16 edges.

It’s Saturday today and I have no one to play with. I mean what is the good of a weekend with no friends! It’s just preposterous.

Dear diary,

It’s Sunday today and I still have no friends to play with.

I might just go for a little stroll in the park. On the way I could run into a friend there. But I HIGHLY doubt it.

So it turns out a walk in the park made me feel worse about myself. It looks like fun on that swing with your friend pushing you. NO just don’t look! Oh well home it is I guess.

Well I really did run into somebody. Well he ran into me I should say. But he said sorry when I wasn't watching where I was going. I have a little bump on the head. But it wasn't much. I am still shocked that he said sorry to ME. So here I am sitting next to a FRIEND. His name is Hugh, Hugh Jape. Say hi Hugh. Hi!

Don’t those joggers look like they are having fun. ;)

Oh no! It’s Buster Nose. Last time I seen him he said he was going to bust my nose. WOW! I've never seen-> something so amazing. Hugh Jape just stood up to Buster Nose! Hugh Jape is so humongous! Why do you have to right EVERYTHING in this book?  Because It’s my diary. Oh. Do you want to go to the Zoo? Why not? Ok the Zoo it is! What do you think would happen if the humans put us in the zoo? I don’t know Maybe the humans would take over the world instead of us. Well I was just at the library with Hugh and were meeting up tomorrow at the park! I have just made a friend a good friend.

Rock Climbing Day 1

Reflection for Rock Climbing

Something I was pleased with was I had a great team.A

Because the students were really nice.

 I really enjoyed learning how to put on a harness.

Something I found hard was getting to the top of the wall.

Because it is harder than you think it is.

Something that made me think was which rock to grab onto next.

Because there are not that many rocks that you can hold on to.

Something I want to get better at is climbing up the wall faster.

          (What can I do about it?)

      Watch other people climb.
